Other
birds of the same species has been observed with
the upper mandible up to 1,5 mm shorter than the lower.
The same phenomena is observed in Great Tit, Parus major,
Coal Tit, Parus ater but never in Blue Tit, Parus caeruleus.
Only one bird (Willow Tit) with this abrasion has been
recaptured after a following summer!
